Corky II and her calf Spooky. Spooky was born on Halloween in 1978 and died after only 11 days. Corky was unable to nurse her calf because the tank she and her mate, Orky II, were held in was too small. Every time the calf would try to nurse, Corky would have to make tight turns and the calf would veer off course from the milk he needed to consume to survive. Corky II had 6 calves at Marineland of the Pacific and 1 calf at SeaWorld San Diego. None of her calves survived for longer than a month, and most of them were still born.
